CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) is one of the founders of third party accreditation. They are experts in health and safety compliance and set industry benchmarks in the field. There are over 900 CHAS approved member organisations from both the public and private sectors, each of whom look to CHAS accredited contractors to provide them with various services. Holding CHAS accreditation means that we have demonstrated that we adhere to all health and safety legislation required for the manufacture and erection of structural steelwork, and that we are dedicated to improving health and safety standards. Quality guarantees for our steelwork Our commitment to continuous improvement drives us to produce high quality steelwork for the construction industry that’s second to none. In addition to CHAS accreditation, we also hold CE marking approval to EN BS 1090-1: 2009 + A1: 2011 Execution Class 2 for structural steel. This means that our customers can rest safe in the knowledge that when they order steelwork from us, it will be quality guaranteed. No guesswork required

No guesswork required

When you think of someone providing an estimation, it brings to mind a rough scribble on the back of an envelope, but in fact it is much more complicated than that. An estimate is just that, an estimation of the cost of a particular project based on experience and information given by the customer. However, when it comes to providing a structural steel fabrication cost estimation, we can assure you that there is definitely no guesswork involved. Providing an estimation for the manufacture and delivering of structural steel for a construction product will consider a number of factors such as function, building type, building height, form, site conditions, complexity of the design, location, logistics and access for delivery, health and safety implications, as well as raw material prices and manufacturing costs. How To Estimate Structural Steel Fabrication Before any building work has taken place or footings have been dug, it is advisable to meet structural steel engineers on site to discuss plans and give help to find solutions to any problem that may have arisen with the build. Their knowledge is invaluable to ensure that your structural steel is right for the project and for the load it will carry. Once all of this information is to hand, it is possible to provide a structural steel fabrication cost estimation that is much more informed and will likely to be extremely close to the final cost. This means that it is easier for you to plan your project and control your budget. Remember however, the price of structural steel is subject to fluctuations in the raw material prices, so once...

Putting first-class into secondary steelwork

Putting first-class into secondary steelwork

From high-rise office blocks to urban apartment buildings, hotels to transportation hubs, shopping centres to retail outlets, construction companies, builders and architects look to secondary steelwork fabricators to produce a range of first-class fabrications to complete their project. Secondary steelwork refers to a wide variety of steel products that is over and above main structural steelwork. These include walkways, gantries, fire escapes, stairways, support steelwork, balustrades, railings, to name but a few. It’s important, however, that the same care and precision is taken when manufacturing secondary steelwork is taken during the manufacture of structural steelwork. A poorly constructed walkway, for example, could mean higher installation costs or poor aesthetics. At Synergy Steel, we take quality very seriously and we ensure that all of our steelwork, whether secondary, structural, architectural, or temporary is made with the same high quality standards and attention to detail. All of our products are quality guaranteed and are produced following strict quality processes accredited to CE marking approval to execution class 2, in relation to structural steel products. As specialist structural and secondary steelwork fabricators, our engineers have a wealth of knowledge that our customers are able to “tap in to”. We will work with you every step of the way from concept to completion, if that’s what you require. Using our many years’ experience, we can help and advise you on the best steelwork solutions for your project. If required, we can attend site before and during your project to help you with any problems you may experience and can even provide help with the installation once your steelwork is ready. We understand the...
